Doug Hawkins

2005 Inductee

Doug began shooting registered targets in 1971 and has registered 387,075 targets as of 5/1/04 including 133,175 singles, 181,250 handicap, and 76,600 doubles. He began his service to the state association in 1989 as a board member. He served on the Board for 5 years, the delegate for 5 years, and the alternate delegate for 3. One of Dougís significant achievements as delegate was securing the Spring Grand for the Tucson club after the Phoenix club was closed. This achievement insured financial stability to the State Association and many of the clubs that participate in the Winter Chain. To say Dougís shooting resume is impressive is an understatement.

Doug has been a member of the all state menís team for 24 years and continually from 1984 to date. He has won the state singles championship once, the handicap championship once, the doubles championship 4 times, the all around 6 times including 1999 where he set the record of 394/400, and the high Over All which heís won 7 times. In addition, he accumulated 33 state championship awards. He completed is "Grand Slam" on August 25th, 1991. A list of his shooting accomplishments are as follows:
